Several months ago I read a book called Adopted For Life by Russel Moore. Although I don't agree with everything the author has to say about adoption, I think the book is still a worthwhile read, and not just for people who have adopted or plan to adopt. I think it is a good read for those who have ever considered adoption, and really for all Christians, as it draws some wonderful parallels between adoptive parenting and our adoption into God's family. Also, the author discusses the importance of adoption within the Christian community and challenges Christians who do not think adoption is for them, to consider how they can support adoption because, beyond being a wonderful blessing to parents and children, adoption is a biblical mandate (see James 1:27.)
Anyway, I just wanted to put that out there, in case you are looking for something to read. :)
