Chinatown!

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I recently had the chance to go along with Evan's class on a field trip to Chinatown. Then, a few days later, I went on the same field trip with Grace and Rachel and a group of other homeschoolers. I was glad to be able to go twice as there is so much to see there and not enough time to really observe everything all in one shot.
So, even though it was an emotion-filled week for me and maybe not the best timing ever, I still really enjoyed walking around Chinatown with my sweet kids and their friends and experiencing another culture in a very hands-on way.
We saw all kinds of interesting meats and vegetables, artifacts, statues, monuments, plants, and animals.

Hopefully no one was offended that our little group of boys thought it necessary to climb on every statue they encountered!

Very cool! That is awesome that you got to spend time with each of the kids at their fieldtrip. It looks like fun:)
