A Very Special Place

This summer we helped my Grandma (the kids call her Nana) move out of her house in Sechelt and into a smaller place, here in Abbotsford. We are thrilled to have Grandma so close to us but it was more difficult than I thought it would be to say goodbye to Sechelt. It is such a beautiful, peaceful place to visit and we will miss our walks on the beach there. It's not that we couldn't go there still, but honestly we probably won't tackle the drive and the cost of the ferry to go over there now that Grandma's not there for us to visit.
Here are a few pics of our last trip over there, mid-August.
Nana always has some interesting thrift-store treasures at her house. These lovely glasses were not far from Evan's face for the whole time we were there.

Rock-climbing and ocean-watching at Snicket point, the kids' favourite place to be in Sechelt.

As we helped Grandma pack and sort through things, the kids found all kinds of interesting things to dress up in. :)
