At the beginning of the summer, the kids all had the chance to do some summer camp activities.
Rachel participated in a High Power Soccer Camp/VBS at a neighbouring church. When I asked her if she'd like to do it, she wasn't sure at first, because she's never been much into sports of any kind. But Evan convinced her because he went last year and enjoyed it so much. I think Rachel liked it. She didn't get to into the actual soccer games, but she enjoyed the skill games and the skits and singing. I think she has convinced Grace to give it a try next year. :)

Evan wanted desperately to do soccer camp too, but he was too old this year, so while Rachel was at soccer, Evan went to Gallery 7's drama camp. Anyone who knows Evan at all, knows that he is very dramatic, so this was a good fit for him. He enjoyed himself and did well in his role of the narrator at the end-of-the-week play.Evan also go to do some kayak lessons for the month of July as his birthday present from my Mom. He and Grandma went kayaking at Whonnok lake every Tuesday and Thursday for 4 weeks and Evan had a blast.

For Grace's birthday present from Grandma, she was given the opportunity to participate in a week long day camp at Matsqui Stables, where she has done some riding lessons over the last couple of years. Being with horses is what makes Grace happy, so she was thrilled at being able to go every day for a whole week and spend time learning about, riding, grooming, and feeding horses!
